Accor, the world’s leading hospitality group, brings a trendy hotel experience to Bangkok’s buzziest neighbourhood of Silom with the opening of its latest flagship ibis Styles address. Savvy travellers are invited to experience creative and playful design inspired by colourful Thai festivals at the brand new ibis Styles Bangkok Silom.

Silom, one of Bangkok’s most important business and entertainment districts is packed with hip eateries, street food stalls, and secluded cultural sites. The urban green space of Lumphini Park is perfect for an afternoon stroll in the middle of the concrete city. By night, the area transforms into a vibrant nightlight scene, with markets and bars bursting with the colourful LGBTQ+ community.

The hotel is located in the heart of Silom, with easy access to Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain and Silom MRT subway stations. The hotel collaborated with talented Thai artist, Tikkywow, to create the eye-catching mural at the hotel’s entrance with vivid pops of colour bursting onto Silom Road. The artist’s interpretation of the neighbourhood focusses on the vibrant history of Silom which welcomes people from all over the world. Upon entering the hotel, guests will step into a photogenic lobby with surprising designs and groovy tunes, a nod to the spirited Thai culture.

“ibis Styles Bangkok Silom is one of Thailand’s most anticipated openings for 2022. A dynamic neighbourhood like Silom is the perfect fit for the trendy and inspiring ibis Styles brand. Its creative and playful designs will bring a sense of joy to the Silom community,” said Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer of Accor, Southeast Asia, Japan & South Korea. “This is our 12th ibis Styles hotel in Thailand. We are excited to expand our network in the country as the travel industry regains momentum and we welcome the world back to Asia.”

The hotel offers 264 artfully decorated and comfortable rooms, across five different room configurations, including Standard Rooms, Premium Balcony Rooms, and Family Suites. Bold Thai elements and bright colours elicit creative energy, offering a space with personality. Each room features the Sweet Bed™ by ibis, 43-inch Smart LCD TVs, and rain showers.

ibis Styles Bangkok Silom is an exciting spot for travellers and locals to eat, drink, and socialise. Executive Chef Apipong Detsupha, known as Chef Oak, helms the hotel’s outlets and is well regarded in Thailand thanks to his television appearances on some of the country’s top cooking contests. The all-day dining Prung Rod, meaning ‘seasoned’ in Thai, highlights freshly made Thai-style noodles and soups. The experience begins at the toppings bar where guests can add meat, vegetables, and spices into their bowl of noodles, served with hearty broth, as they wish. For those craving barista coffee, the sleek, open-concept bar POPUP is the perfect spot to catch up on some emails or meet with friends during the day. By night, Thai whiskey cocktails can be enjoyed alongside local homemade dishes. The bohemian-style poolside rooftop bar BOHO is inspired by the vivacious Thai music festivals, offering signature rum-based cocktails, and Thai platters.

Nestled on the rooftop, the hotel’s pool is a great spot for guests looking to refresh with an afternoon dip. The gym is equipped with the latest fitness equipment and a range of free weights, with views of the diverse cityscape.

The hotel’s location makes it the perfect venue to host meetings and events. Lumpini Ballroom, named after the iconic park, can accommodate up to 300 guests and be divided into three separate meeting rooms or open up into the lower atrium space.

“We are so thrilled to open ibis Styles Bangkok Silom. Guests staying at this stylish hotel can look forward to enjoying comfortable rooms at accessible prices and creative dining experiences, from street-food-style fare to the funky rooftop bar. Silom has long been loved for its lively energy, and our hotel is ready to welcome guests seeking to explore the neighbourhood,” said GM Nitah Thongsuk.
