InterContinental Singapore’s chefs bring the The Lobby Lounge afternoon tea to new heights from 18 April 2024. Executive Pastry Chef Jason Goh and his talent culinary team then introduce the luxurious Celestial Bird’s Nest Afternoon Tea alongside a refreshed selection of Vegan Afternoon Tea.

Set in the elegant confines of The Lobby Lounge, the exquisite dining experience is poised to redefine luxury, inviting guests to savour the delicate flavours of premium ingredients amidst a backdrop of refined sophistication.

Celestial Bird’s Nest afternoon tea

Enhance the classic afternoon tea affair with a touch of sophistication and culinary refinement with the Celestial Bird’s Nest Afternoon Tea set, meticulously crafted to delight palates and awake senses.

Infused with the renowned health benefits of bird’s nest, each savoury and sweet delicacy offers a luxurious indulgence while nurturing the well-being.

Exquisitely presented on a three-tier gold stand, highlights include Snow Bird’s Nest and Caramel Apple Choux, a luscious combination of snow bird’s nest, caramel cremeux, and poached apple encased in a delicate cream puff that resembles a bird’s nest; Blood Bird’s Nest Blackberry Tartlet with tartness of the blackberries beautifully complemented by the subtle floral notes of chamomile honey; and the 24K Golden Bird’s Nest, double-boiled bird’s nest served in a red dates consommé infused with wolfberry and adorned with edible gold leaves and peach gum, this indulgent creation provides a luxurious and visually stunning experience. For an added interactive dining experience, the 24K Golden Bird’s Nest is served within a locked treasure box and guests will have to unlock the box to enjoy the nutritious treat. On the savoury front, guests can indulge in Bird’s Nest Jelly with Hokkaido Scallop and Oscietra Caviar, Beef Pastrami and Black Truffle Sandwich with vegetables ‘scapece’, feta, black truffle aioli, arugula and focaccia bread; along with Bacon Wrapped Quail Egg Skewer and Smoked Salmon Quiche.

These decadent afternoon tea treats are complemented with two beverages of fine loose-leaf tea or coffee, along with unlimited ice cream. Diners may also opt for the top-up options to enjoy the culinary treats with a flute of Champagne, perfect for an indulgent afternoon.

Capturing the hearts of discerning diners, The Lobby Lounge’s beloved Vegan Afternoon Tea set offers a rejuvenated selection of innovative plant-based creations and exquisite flavours.

Celebrating the beauty and versatility of plant-based cuisine, each item on the menu has been meticulously crafted to offer a harmonious blend of taste, texture, and visual appeal, ensuring a memorable dining experience for every guest. From the tantalising Egg Mayo and Cheddar Cheese Sandwich, a plant-based omelette sandwich to the savoury Grilled ‘Impossible’ Slider with Cajun spice, ‘Impossible’ patty, vegetables “scapece”, each savoury treat promises to excite the palate and satisfy cravings.

For those with a sweet tooth, the indulgent array of desserts that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. Delight in the luscious Banana Peanut Cake, featuring layers of moist banana sponge and creamy peanut cream; savour the exquisite Pineapple Tofu Mascarpone Cake, which combines the tropical flavours of pineapple compote with rich raspberry Chantilly; indulge in the Lemon Cheese Tart, featuring a luscious lemon genoise nestled atop a quinoa tart base and adorned with candied cranberries; delight in the delicate flavours of the Palm Sugar Panna Cotta, and Green Apple Chocolate Pot, a delightful combination of poached apple, caramel cremeux, and vanilla mousse.
