Ember Beach Club dinner news: For one night only, the seaside venue at One&Only Desaru Coast resort will host an extraordinary four-hands gastronomic experience. The art of dining will be celebrated against the breathtaking backdrop of the South China Sea along Malaysia’s south-eastern shoreline. Guests can expect to be delighted with a collaborative menu with pairings that meld the styles of distinct South Asian flavours from Thevar by Mano Thevar, alongside the seafood and barbecue inspired flavours from chef Andrew Walsh’s signature creations at Ember Beach Club that promises to indulge the senses on an epicurean adventure.
The third edition of the EMBER CURATES series takes place on 17th of August 2024. The exclusive Michelin-starred dinner collaboration brings together the innovative Chef Mano Thevar of the eponymous two-Michelin-starred restaurant Thevar, renowned for his reinterpretations of South Asian cuisine, and Chef Andrew of one-Michelin-star CURE, who brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the Malaysian barbecue grill, mixing East-meets-West flavours and ingredients in a fire-fuelled menu.
The menu of exclusive dishes will feature Chef Thevar’s unique use of South Asian spices. These include Hokkaido Scallop with Pearl couscous ponggal & Smoked tomato chutney, Boondhi crumbs to Lamb Rack & Lamb Biryani with Sorrel chutney, Butternut masala, Madras kuzhamb . Guests can also savour Rasmalai with Cinnamon Ice-cream with Ghee Cake, Pistachio, Cranberries, and Saffron & Cardamom Cloud topped with Gold leaf, an elevation of the classic and beloved Indian dessert, to end on a sweet note.
