A globally experienced hotelier, Jens boasts a career spanning multiple international markets and leading hospitality brands, where he has consistently driven operational performance while shaping hotels into spaces that feel relevant to their surroundings. Across his previous roles, he has led teams through openings, repositionings, and guest experience transformations – always with a focus on making hospitality feel intuitive.

General Manager Jens Corder
Jens rejoins Shangri-La Group with over 15 years of senior general management experience spanning Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, and Singapore. His previous tenure with Shangri-La included General Manager appointments at China World Summit Wing Beijing; Shangri-La Tianjin; Shangri-La Bangalore; and Shangri-La Fuzhou, alongside senior leadership responsibilities in Hong Kong and Singapore.
He is known for building environments where teams are empowered to think beyond process, creating stays that feel effortless, social, and grounded in real human connection.
“The best hospitality doesn’t feel staged, it feels natural,” said Jens Corder. “Guests can tell when something is genuine. It’s in the way they are welcomed, the energy of a space, the small moments that aren’t scripted. That authenticity is what builds connection, and that’s what I am excited to shape here at Jen.”
Under Jens’ leadership, Jen Singapore Orchardgateway by Shangri-La will continue to evolve as more than just a hotel; it will sharpen its role as a social hub in the heart of Orchard Road. This translates into more than positioning – it comes to life through how guests experience the property.
Expect a stronger sense of arrival and energy in shared spaces, more opportunities for guests to naturally connect whether through community-driven activations, wellness-led experiences, or social programming that brings the hotel to life beyond the room. Dining and lifestyle touchpoints will feel more dynamic and intuitive, designed to fit seamlessly into how guests live, work and unwind.
