InterContinental Singapore thereby also boasts one of the largest hotel Champagne Collection in Singapore, marking their commitment as a dining destination.

This esteemed recognition is a testament to the discerning hotel’s unwavering commitment to excellence and dedication to curating unparalleled experiences for its discerning guests, solidifying its status as a premier dining destination.

The hotel is also pleased to announce the induction of Andreas Kraemer, InterContinental Singapore’s GM as the Maître-Caveau, together with Lucas Liu, Head Sommelier of Tenuta by Park90 as the Maître-Sabreur, marking a new chapter in InterContinental Singapore’s legacy of excellence in wine and champagne culture.

As the resident Maître-Caveau and Maître-Sabreur, from 15 June, both Kraemer and Liu will be an official representative of the of Confrérie du Sabre d’Or Singapore (The Brotherhood of The Golden Sabre) at the hotel, where they can perform the sabrage – a technique for opening a bottle of champagne with a sabre.

InterContinental Singapore’s illustrious premises, guests can now indulge in an extraordinary selection of the finest champagnes, elevating the hotel’s offerings to new heights. With this partnership, InterContinental Singapore boasts the largest hotel Champagne Collection in Singapore, aiming for nearly 200 labels by mid-July. This exquisite array of renowned labels that epitomise luxury and sophistication.

To complement this impressive collection, The Lobby Lounge will feature a special food menu designed to pair perfectly with champagne, offering delicacies such as oysters and caviar. Guests can enjoy these exquisite pairings while savouring the finest champagnes in an elegant setting. As an added attraction, guests can enjoy privileges such as 10% off all pink champagne and rosé wines daily from 5pm to 6pm with the Pink Hour promotion. Buy a magnum and enjoy complimentary half a dozen oysters.

  • Jérôme Blin – A fourth-generation winemaker from a family rooted in Champagne since the 17th century, revitalised their 6-hectare estate in Vincelles with biodynamic farming, creating delicately oxidised, low-dosage champagnes
  • Frédéric Savart – Located in the Montagne de Reims, this house of Champagne happens to be a true pearl of prestige and high quality, where the conduct of the vineyard and winemaking is worthy of the work of a goldsmith

Lucas Liu, currently serving as the Head Sommelier at Park90, leads one of the most significant sommelier teams in Singapore. With his esteemed status as an advanced sommelier certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, Lucus Liu brings a wealth of expertise and sophistication to the
InterContinental Singapore team, showcasing his mastery in wine service and theory.

Additionally, he has earned the Champagne Master Program (Honors) certification from the Wine Scholar Guild, highlighting his profound understanding of champagne. Tracy Koo assumed the role of CEO at Wine Portal in 2022, spearheading the company’s position as a fully integrated global wine business operating in five countries. The award-winning wine bar, Park90, has thrived under Tracy’s direction, expanding beyond Singapore to Niseko and Taiwan, driving rapid expansion and strategic growth.

Andreas Kraemer has been an integral part of IHG since 2016, bringing his expertise to
