Hotel operator Accor has signed a management agreement with PT Bintan Lagoon Resort, a subsidiary of PT Edika Agung Mandiri, to launch Mövenpick Bintan Lagoon Resort. Set to open in 2023, the resort will become the first Mövenpick property in Bintan while adding 413 rooms to the brand’s growing portfolio in the region.

Known by many as a well-loved holiday destination, Bintan boasts scenic tropical landscapes, cultural trails, culinary wonders, and thrilling activities from land to sea. Mövenpick Bintan Lagoon Resort will occupy a long stretch of private white sandy beach in the northern region of the island. The beach front resort will be easily reached via a one-hour ferry ride from the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal Singapore or a one-hour drive from Bintan’s Raja Haji Fisabilillah International Airport.

Overlooking the scenic South China Sea, the resort will introduce Swiss-inspired hospitality to Bintan in celebration of Mövenpick’s rich culinary legacy. The resort is set to be the new beach getaway destination for all generations with standout facilities, including three lagoon swimming pools, unique restaurant concepts, a two-storey beach club, spacious event spaces, and a ferry terminal. Wellness will also be an integral part of the resort experience, with a vast wellness and recreation centre that will feature a gym, a spa, and Kids Club.
