Partake in the Edge restaurant Oktoberfest at Pan Pacific Singapore! Its award-winning buffet restaurant, where Executive Chef Andy Oh, his Culinary Team, and Master Butcher Chef Haiko Mayer present ‘Tastes of Germany’ invites to dinner on Thursdays to Saturdays, from now until 26 October 2024, in celebration of Oktoberfest with authentic German cuisine and beverages.

Indulge in savoury German favourites, such as Bavarian Beer Cheese Soup served with Pretzels and Bacon, Bratkartoffeln with Bacon and Onions, Bavarian Pork Knuckle, Slow-cooked Lamb Sauerbraten, and much more. For those with a penchant for dessert, delight in authentic German treats, including Crème Bavarois, Berliner, Apple Strudel, and Black Forest Cake.

The hotel’s Master Butcher, Chef Haiko Mayer, presents an array of charcuterie and cold cuts made in-house, including Grilled Veal Bratwurst, Thuringer Snail Sausage, Weisswurst, Cheese Kransky, and Dry-cured Black Forest Ham. On Thursdays and Fridays, guests will have the opportunity to meet Chef Haiko during dinner, as he shares his expertise and passion for German charcuterie and butchery.

Toast to Oktoberfest with The Portman Lager, with its radiant amber glow, crowned by delicate snow-white foam. Exclusively brewed and bottled by Paulaner Bräuhaus Singapore for Pan Pacific Singapore, the smooth, full-bodied lager is now available at Edge. In addition to the exciting Oktoberfest offerings, Edge continues to delight guests with a tantalising array of dishes from Singaporean to Chinese, Malay, Indian, Japanese, Thai, and western cuisines.

The “Tastes of Germany” is priced at $128 per adult and $64 per child (6 – 12 years old). Hotel guests staying in Pan Pacific Singapore will receive an exclusive discount, priced at $108 per adult and $54 per child (6 – 12 years old). Prices include complimentary coffee, tea, Elderflower Soda, and Spezi, a popular German soft drink with cola and orange soda.

About Chef Haiko Mayer, Master Butcher, Pan Pacific Singapore

Born and raised in Göppingen, Germany, Chef Haiko Mayer was inspired to pursue a career as a butcher while growing up in his family’s small, established butchery business and restaurant.

He achieved the prestigious Master Butcher certification at Akademie des Fleischerhandwerks in Augsburg, Germany, and has since honed his skills in several award-winning butcheries across Australia, Germany, and Singapore.
