#ArtforGood food art dessert in collaboration with UOB Painting of the Year
Pan Pacific Orchard is proud to participate in the #ArtforGood initiative, in partnership with the UOB Painting of the Year competition, now celebrating its 43rd edition. Available in June and July at Mosella, the ‘edible art’ experience provides a refreshing new perspective on creativity, making art a more integral and accessible part of everyday life.
Inspired by “The Grand History” by David Chan, two-time winner of the UOB Painting of the Year, Pastry Chef Eunice has crafted a dessert that captures the essence of Chan’s vibrant and chaotic masterpiece, featuring multi- coloured elements and a bold interplay of sharp flavours. Ingredients such as chili, popping candies, dried raspberries, and 70% dark chocolate blend to create a journey of taste—starting with intense spice, moving through sour lime, reaching rich bitter chocolate, and concluding with the surprising burst of popping candy, symbolising the transition from chaos to balance. This dessert will be available at Mosella from 17 June to 17 July for $14++.
As part of this initiative, David Chan’s artwork “Being Yellow”, from his series “Every Trick Only Needed One Truth”, will also be auctioned off in a silent charity auction. This series explores the dichotomy between hiding and revealing, inviting viewers to look through the eyeholes of common animal- themed plastic masks and participate in the curious activity of hiding and revealing. All proceeds from the artwork and a portion of the menu proceeds will benefit ART:DIS (Arts & Disability) Singapore (@art.dis.singapore), a charity dedicated to empowering artists with disabilities to develop professional careers in the arts. Guests can participate in the auction by scanning a QR code during their dining experience or by visiting https://www.32auctions.com/ART… to place their bids.
Additionally, Pan Pacific Orchard will display selected pieces of David Chan’s artwork in the Pacific Club Lounge on Level 11, further enhancing the cultural ambiance and deepening guests’ connection with the themes inspired by the art.
