Singapore’s National Day Parkroyal COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore celebrations offers guests to immerse in the diverse flavours of Singapore with ‘Go Lokal’ at the hotel’s Peppermint and Portman’s Bar dining venues.

Singapore National Day: ’Go Lokal” at Peppermint

From 14 July until 12 August 2023, Peppermint presents ‘Go Lokal’, created by Chef de Cuisine, Leon Yee and his culinary team. Indulge in an array of local delights, such as Chicken Bak Kut Teh (Chicken Broth Cooked in Herbal Soup), DIY Kueh Pie Tee (Crispy Pastry Shells, filled with Radish and Prawns), Seafood Otak (Spicy Fish Cake) in Banana Leaf, Prawn Roll with Sweet Sauce and Chilli, and BBQ Chicken Wings.

Seafood lovers will be delighted by a variety of seafood options, featuring Singapore-style Chilli Lobster, Steamed Hokkaido Scallops with Vermicelli, Scallion Ginger Garlic, and more! This year, Chef Leon is also adding on new seafood dishes, which includes Lychee Prawn Ball with Durian Cream Dip and Crab Claypot Rice.

For the meat lovers, Peppermint offers the Buah Keluak Wagyu Beef Belly “Kong Bak Bao,” Herbal Roasted Duck, and lots more! Indulge in other mouthwatering meat options, available during dinner on weekends, such as Truffle Black Angus Minced Beef Roti John, an omelette baguette filled with minced beef and truffle, as well as the Grilled Australian Baby Lamb Rib Satay.

But that’s not all! Indulge in our Seafood Island, which features fresh seasonal produce, including Tiger Prawn, Pacific Flower Clam, Tiger Topshell, and Half-shell Scallop, or savour fresh Sashimi, Chilled Soba Noodle, a selection of Tempura, as well as comforting Oden. And make sure to head to the Indian Vegetarian station, where diners may delight in a wide array of authentic dishes.

To end the feast on a sweet note, diners can enjoy local desserts, such as Grated Coconut and Sesame Muah Chee (Glutinous Rice Balls), Deep-fried Durian Ball, Chendol Gelato (Pandan Ice Cream), Classic Durian Pengat and an assortment of Potong (Popsicle) Ice Cream that will surely evoke nostalgic memories.

Calling durian lovers! Indulge in a unique outdoor dining experience with Peppermint’s exclusive durian buffet, available only during dinner on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays! From Musang King (Maoshan Wang), to Red Prawn (D13), and D24, diners can indulge in unlimited servings of the King of Fruits.

‘Go Lokal’ Afternoon Tea at Portman’s Bar

Portman’s Bar offers an exquisite “Go Lokal” Afternoon Tea experience, curated by Pastry Chef Christopher Eng and his pastry team. Inspired by the vibrant flavours and unique ingredients found in Singaporean cuisine, indulge in local delights, such as, Chicken Floss Sliders, Crab Wanton, Satay, Fruit Rojak with Sakura Ebi, and more. For a sweet respite, guests can enjoy the Urban Farm Pandan, a pandan coconut tiramisu, infused with the fragrant flavours of gingko nut, or delight in the nostalgia of the Classic Butter Cake.

Guests can also satisfy their sweet cravings with a selection of patisseries, macaroons, pralines, and cookies from Portman’s Bar’s roving Sweet Wagon.’

The “Go Lokal” Afternoon Tea at Portman’s Bar is available from now until 31 August 2023, priced at $58++ per person. Enhance this Afternoon Tea experience with a two-hour free-flow of Taittinger Champagne at $68++ or Prosecco at $38++.
