Pretty-in-Pink October Afternoon Tea special event
As the afternoon sun bathes the city in a soft golden glow, the doors open at The Lounge, an inviting oasis nestled within Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur where live piano performances accompany a sublime dining experience crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Yann Roumanille and Chef Putri Farisya Amirza.
The Pretty-in-Pink October Afternoon Tea is available from October 2 to 31, 2023. The Hotel will donate a portion of the sales to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA).
“This very special event is not just about creating an unforgettable gastronomical experience for our guests but also a heartfelt expression of support for those battling breast cancer,” shares Chef Yann.
An All-Pink Array of Delights
Featuring six sweets and five savouries, the exquisite menu is meticulously crafted in shades of pink to raise awareness for breast cancer and stand in solidarity with women around the world. Each bite savoured represents not just a sensory delight but also a symbol of unity and compassion.
The rosy sweets selection includes highlights such as the Coco, composed of roasted coconut sponge with a burst of strawberry jelly and coconut mousse, and Earl Grey & Berry, a melange of juicy forest fruits, silken chocolate mousse and tea-flavoured cake.
Guests can also sample the Pretty-in-Pink Macaron, a petite masterpiece fusing rich cherry compote with delicate elderflower cream, and a variety of scones – melt-in-the-mouth biscuits served with lush clotted cream, tangy rhubarb-strawberry jam, and fragrant rosewater-butter.
An equally enticing range of savoury temptations awaits. The Pink Salmon Brioche brings together salmon gunkan, nori powder, and sakura denbu in an umami nod to the treasures of the sea, while the Pickled Egg Salad is adorned with Ikura caviar, pink flower petals and pickled quail eggs, served with hearty peppercorn bread. Guests can also savour the Beef De Cecina Leon – thin beef slices intermingle with the piquant bite of horseradish root and the velvety richness of Manchego cheese.
Along with the delights on each table, sample pass-around treats such as Cotton Candy Mocktails, Madeleine Strawberries and Praline Financier Cake. On the way out, don’t forget to browse the Pink Gourmandise selection, available at the retail counter in the Lobby. Raspberry madeleines, strawberry chocolate brittles and assorted pastries make for the perfect gift or takeaway indulgence.
