Element Kuala Lumpur Ramadan news: While sky dining is not something uncommon in the bustling Kuala Lumpur, high-floor buffet, on the other hand, is still more of a rare find in the city. This upcoming Ramadan, embrace the spirit of “ukhwah” with family and friends in the warm and inviting ambiance of Element Kuala Lumpur’s towering TRACE Restaurant & Bar, as you enjoy the Selera Awangan Dinner Buffet offered nightly from 14 March to 7 April 2024.
Just like the Bahasa Malaysia phrase “awang-awangan” suggests, this fast-breaking dinner buffet atop the 40th floor promises a dining experience that goes beyond merely satiating hunger. Guests are invited to immerse in a sky dining-like “buka puasa” experience whilst taking in mesmerizing skyline views of Kuala Lumpur highlighting skyscrapers like KL Tower and Merdeka 118.
This biggest-yet buffet spread ever laid out at Trace will offer a wide selection of culinary specialties assimilated by the Hotel’s culinary team, with a particular focus in four distinct cooking styles that hold a special place in the hearts of Malaysians: Malay, Oriental, Western and Middle Eastern. They have been carefully selected to cater to the varied tastes and preferences of our patrons, ensuring a culinary journey that transcends borders and encapsulates the essence of communal dining during this sacred month.
Spice up the feast with new Middle Eastern additions
To celebrate the ever-growing popularity of Middle Eastern cuisine among Malaysians these days, a mouth-watering range of staples from the regions have been added to this year’s spread. Indulge in the rich and eccentric flavours of a trio of Middle Eastern rice dishes, Chicken Maghout, Lamb Kabsah, and Beef Mandy, as well as the crowd-favourite street food, Chicken Shawarma presented in either Lebanese or Pita bread. After all, who can resist the magical combination of toasted flatbreads, tender meat chunks and garlicky sauce?
The Ramadan must-have indigenous Malay cooking
Cooked by our enthusiastic team of Malay chefs using age-old recipes, Rendang Ayam with Lemang Bakar, Bubur Lambuk Berempah, Beef and Chicken Satay Celup, and Nasi Impit with Sayur Lodeh are some of the authentic Malay dishes that one can look forward to.
What’s more, be prepared to be greeted by a line-up of live action pop-up stalls in the buffet. These include Nyonya Popia Basah, Popia Goreng, Popia Sira Sambal, Sup Baling Kedah, as well as the Kerabu Station, where you can customize your own Malay-style salad with a variety of ingredients and sauces to suit every taste.
Spicy enthusiasts will love the Masak Lomak Cili Padi Claypot, served piping hot upon request. Choose from smoked beef, duck, or quail to sample different textures of meat.
Oriental delights, Western roasts, and everything sweet
Diners who are in the mood for something Oriental will be pleased by Grilled Chicken in Thai Sauce, Stir-Fried Beef Mongolian, Deep-Fried Fish with Soy Sauce, Butter Prawns with Egg Floss, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Prawn Noodles and Dim Sum.
A buffet experience at Trace does not feel complete without our signature carvings and grills. Carnivorous guests are invited to feast on Slow-Roasted BBQ Beef Striploin, New Zealand Butter Fish Papillote, as well as the live “Bakar-Bakar” station that features unlimited helpings of Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Fish, and sausages prepared à la minute.
A galore of festive must-have desserts, such as traditional kuih-muih, kuih raya, assorted cakes and patisseries, fresh local fruits, ice cream, Ais Kepal Pelangi, Ais Batu Campur and Cendol will be presented for you to conclude this high-floor buffet adventure on a sweet note.
