The brand new urban hotel Meliá Chiang Mai, situated in the heart of the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai, has introduced Spanish Afternoon Tea celebrating the country’s famed gastronomy.
Available daily at the hotel’s first floor Ruen Kaew Lounge, Spanish Afternoon Tea for two comprises savoury and sweet treats with a selection of fine teas and freshly brewed coffee.
It pays homage to Meliá’s Spanish origins, featuring pinchos style pan-seared spiced tiger prawn skewers with lemon, golden fried potato-sausage balls with light aioli and brava sauce, and Andalusian mini sandwiches with serrano ham, fried pork loin and blistered green pepper.
Sweets include classic Basque-style burnt cheesecake, churros with warm chocolate dipping sauce, Mallorcan mini ensaïmada pastries and sangria ice popsicles.
Priced at THB 1,059++ for two, Spanish Afternoon Tea is served between 2pm – 5pm daily at Ruen Kaew Lounge.
