Sundays just keep getting better at Sundara Beach Club at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, as the home of Bali’s Longest Brunch launches the 2020 Sunburst event series.

Celebrating Jimbaran’s beach lifestyle and active local community, the second annual Sunburst series features a variety of events ranging from artist workshops and zero-waste cocktail class to beer yoga, beach cross-fit and guest bartenders. Each event falls on a Sunday starting February 23, 2020 and continuing over another 14 Sundays throughout the year, with the last event on December 20.

“Sunday is a sacred day in more ways than one,” says Nicolas Senes, Food and Beverage Director at the resort. “It’s a day for connecting with family and friends, taking time out for yourself, enjoying the moment, doing some exercise or just relaxing with a beer or cocktail in hand. Time is precious and we wanted to give guests at Bali’s Longest Sunday Brunch the chance to fit more in. So, we launched the Sunburst event series as another way for guests to enjoy the perfect Sunday, soaking up the buzz of Jimbaran beach between unlimited orders of our Brunch menu and famous cocktails.”

Highlights of Sunburst 2020 include:
Starting February 23, 2020 – Guest Bartenders – Sundara’s head bartender Sufian Mahmoud has hand-picked the island’s best mixologists to join him behind the Sundara lounge bar, where they will incorporate his sustainable bartending ethos into their unique creations. In addition to local talent, Sundara will also host cocktail-pairing dinners by Executive Chef Phillip Taylor and top international bartenders from Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts around Asia-Pacific.

March 29, 2020 – Sustainable Art Collaboration – Brunch guests will have the opportunity to take home their own work of art with complimentary artist workshops. Themed around sustainability to reflect Sufian’s philosophy of “maximum flavour, minimum waste,” there will also be an exhibition and artworks for prize giveaways.

May 10, 2020 – Zero Waste Cocktail Class – Sufian will share his sustainable bartending tips in a Zero Waste cocktail masterclass. Find out the real story behind pure Balinese arak, take a tour of the Resort’s on-site gardens and pick ingredients for the class. Guests will get behind the bar, but first, join Sufian in the kitchen where he slow-cooks the infusions and ingredients that put the zing in the glass.

June 19-21, 2020 – Beervana Bali Collaboration – Test balance after a day of craft cocktails with Sunset Beer Yoga. Join the pool party and try craft beers from around the world as Sundara’s bar team present a special selection of beer cocktails to match the rotating Sunday Brunch menu.

August 9, 2020 – Kite-Fighting – Kids will love learning this ancient ritual from the Resort’s kite masters. Fly five-metre-wide (16 foot) kites and take part in kite fighting and racing, all day while the wind blows.

October 25, 2020 – Beach Cross-Fit and Cocktail Yoga – Work Brunch off before even taking a seat, with a morning session of Beach Cross-Fit in partnership with Pronoia, a Bali-based lifestyle campus dedicated to adventure, fitness and wellness. Stay for Sunset Cocktail Yoga and try to pass the sobriety balance test.

Bali’s Longest Sunday Brunch offers six hours of beachfront gazing and grazing with unlimited tapas-style plates from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, live acoustics, beverage packages and the Kids Club right next door. The menu features different selections on rotation from the Resort’s master chefs throughout the day. Enjoy modern Australian cuisine from Executive Chef Phillip Taylor, home-style North Indian cuisine from specialty chef Anil Naudiyal, Balinese flavours from legendary Cooking Academy head chef Kristya Yudha, and modern Asian from Sundara Chef de Cuisine Made Adijaya.
