Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara hotel has announced the appointment of its new General Manager Vincent Gernigon, effective 27 March 2024. Mr. Gernigon brings with him a wealth of international experience in the hospitality industry, spanning across America and Southeast Asia.
With his strong leadership skills, business acumen, and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, Vincent is poised to further elevate the prestigious image of Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara.
A seasoned hotelier, Vincent embarked on his career with Accor in January 2006 at the Sofitel
Thalassa Quiberon, France. His unwavering dedication and exceptional talent led him through various roles within the company. Notably, he held a significant tenure at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Vietnam, where he initially oversaw the Food & Beverage operations before transitioning to oversee the hotel’s overall operations.
Vincent’s career progression underscores his commitment to excellence and effective leadership.
Notably, he played pivotal roles in the restoration and repositioning of Raffles Siem Reap,
Cambodia, and the successful opening of a flagship Sofitel property in Seoul, South Korea boosting 403 rooms and 160 residences.
Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Vincent stated, “I am honoured to lead Sofitel Kuala
Lumpur Damansara at such a defining point in our collective history. I look forward to working with the talented team here to uphold the hotel’s legacy of excellence and create memorable
experiences for our guests.”
In his new capacity, Vincent will oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of the 312 rooms and suites hotel, including its diverse dining options, event spaces, spa, and fitness centre.
