1 March marked the grand reopening of Lanson Place Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, the flagship property of the renowned Hong Kong personal hotel and serviced residence brand under Lanson Place Hospitality Management Limited (Lanson Place).
 
Following an extensive refurbishment led by Parisian hotel design maestro Pierre-Yves Rochon, the hotel embodies the elegant essence and French sophistication of the Lanson Place brand. Its chic, leisurely allure offers a serene contrast to the vibrant ambience of Causeway Bay, providing a welcoming sanctuary amidst the bustling metropolis. 
 
To mark the reopening, Salon Lanson on the hotel’s first floor has introduced a special cocktail series inspired by Causeway Bay landmarks. Hong Kong’s effervescent local culture, combined with exquisite wines and culinary delights, further enriches the ambience of this French-inspired personalised boutique hotel.

Designed with flexibility and convenience in mind, all Lanson Place rooms also emphasise spatial awareness, with distinct areas for work, leisure, and entertainment, along with thoughtful amenities to ensure a homely, comfortable experience.
 

Uniquely French aesthetic creates living spaces that reflect the beauty of nature

In terms of interior design, Lanson Place has collaborated with world-renowned Parisian hotel design maestro Pierre-Yves Rochon to infuse the hotel with his iconic style. Rochon’s unique aesthetic is present in every detail, blending delicate lines, shapes, colours, and natural materials to seamlessly integrate understated French Mediterranean luxury with craftsmanship to create a serene, sophisticated atmosphere. The design concept highlights the essence of Lanson, providing guests tailor-made exclusive living spaces while creating a leisurely oasis in the vibrant metropolis.
 
Designer Pierre-Yves Rochon explains what makes the property so unique: “Our renovation respects the DNA of this institution, which is a private, personal hotel, a warm place, a sanctuary within the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. The key principle has been to respect its soul, creating a timeless address whose character is inspired by nature.”
 
Reflecting on the property’s transformation, Lanson Place CEO Michael Hobson explains: “We’re thrilled with our re-imagined flagship as it represents everything that we stand for as a brand. Lanson Place has also meticulously curated a new meeting venue tailored to business travellers, offering a comfortable environment complete with the latest technology. Rochon has skilfully incorporated artwork, designer furniture and elegant lighting to create warm tones and flowing curves, offering a high degree of privacy, allowing guests to conduct business meetings and activities in understated style. The fifth-floor Fitness Centre provides the latest exercise equipment as well as stretching spaces, as floor-to-ceiling windows bring sunlight indoors, enabling guests to exercise, relax and unwind in an open, spacious environment.
 

Island landmark-themed signature cocktails

Located on the hotel’s first floor, Salon Lanson offers a variety of dining experiences for hotel guests including a semi-buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening cocktails. For the reopening, Salon Lanson is serving a series of seven expertly crafted signature cocktails themed around different Hong Kong landmarks. Each cocktail is presented with a postcard depicting a street scene around the hotel, from towering Causeway Bay to Tai Hang and Tin Hau, guiding guests to explore these fascinating neighbourhoods. To celebrate the reopening, Salon Lanson has also created a special “Leighton 133” cocktail named after the hotel’s address, inviting guests to witness Lanson Place’s evolution, savour its flavours and experience the diverse, unforgettable Hong Kong stories which surround it.
