Fans of Zhou and Tsunoda can revel in the euphoric buzz of F1 with race-themed hotel packages, namely the Zhou Guanyu and Yuki Tsunoda Experience Packages. The first and only Formula 1 driver from China, Shanghai-born Zhou Guanyu began competitive karting at just eight years old and moved on to compete in single-seater championships at 15. His racing career has flourished since, clinching first place in the 2021 Formula 3 Asian Championship, and attaining numerous wins and pole positions across three solid Formula 2 seasons. In 2022, Zhou became the 66th driver in history to score points in his F1 debut race.

Japanese Formula 1 racing driver Yuki Tsunoda began his professional karting career in 2010, joining the Japan Automobile Federation Junior Karting Championship and made his debut in the Formula 3 Championship in 2019. He clinched an impressive four pole positions and three victories in the Formula 2 series in 2020. His outstanding performance led him to finish third overall, earning him the title of Rookie of the Year. This is his fourth year participating in the race, and he is currently ranked 12th in the drivers’ rankings.

The thrill of the race season continues late into the night as Marquee Singapore brings together two Electronic Dance Music (EDM) industry giants to helm back-to-back after parties over the F1 race weekend. Party-goers are invited to rave to adrenaline-pumping rhythms as legendary DJs Afrojack and Axwell come to headline the race weekend after parties on 20 and 21 September respectively. Globally acclaimed for their chart-topping hits and influential roles in the EDM scene, both acts are sure to amplify the F1 fervour.

Grammy-award winning DJ and music producer Afrojack is set to dominate the stage on 20 September, promising a rousing night with his signature set of heavy-weight, futuristic, party-targeted tracks. Hailing from the Netherlands, the Dutch DJ is a staple name at major events and festivals and has released an array of chart-topping tracks, including “Ten Feet Tall”, “Take Over Control” and “Give Me Everything”.

On 21 September, Swedish DJ and producer Axwell will take to the decks, setting the dance floor ablaze with his progressive house mixes and uplifting hits. Axwell is a trailblazer in the EDM scene and promises to bring an enthralling performance chockfull of timeless dance music anthems. A member of the legendary house supergroup Swedish House Mafia alongside Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, the trio has been hailed as the faces of mainstream progressive house music and has released some of the greatest tracks in EDM history, including ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ and ‘Save the World’.

Marina Bay Sands is revving up for the most spectacular weekend of the year with a star-studded line-up of gastronomic adventures, including exclusive collaborations at CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Maison Boulud, Mott 32 and Spago Dining Room featuring culinary powerhouses from around the world this September.

From 11 to 13 September, modern Chinese restaurant Mott 32 will be presenting a special four-hands collaboration between Mott 32 Group Executive Chef Lee Man Sing and Mott 32 Singapore Executive Chef Lam Kwong Ming, showcasing the pinnacle of luxurious Chinese cuisine with contemporary influences. Diners can look forward to a curated menu (S$398++ per person) that highlights the finest ingredients, artfully prepared by the two celebrated chefs to deliver an unforgettable dining experience. Complementing the menu is a carefully curated wine pairing experience (S$598++ per person, including food and welcome cocktail) with wines from the esteemed Chinese winery Célèbre from the Himalayas.

An extraordinary treat awaits as renowned celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck presents A Night with Wolfgang: A Culinary Retrospective – a one-night-only special three-course dinner (from 6pm, S$225++ per person) at Spago Dining Room on 18 September. The exclusive event will feature a curated menu showcasing a selection of chef Wolfgang’s classic and timeless dishes alongside his cherished childhood favourites. Following the track action, the celebration continues with post-race happy hour kicking off at 9pm till 12am, offering guests the limited-time red-hued Rosella Lager at S$12++ per pint.

The unique brew featuring rosé aromas tinged with jasmine blossoms will also be available throughout the month, making it the perfect pairing with The Chairman Burger (S$28++) from 2 to 30 September. The savoury craft burger combines prime beef, topped with melted provolone cheese, mortadella, olive giadiniera, roasted garlic aioli and parsley.

On 21 and 22 September, brunch like a champion at Bread Street Kitchen & Bar as the restaurant brings an extraordinary 8-course (S$98++) and 12-course (S$128++) brunch experience that will thrill racing fans and foodies alike. To complement the dishes, diners can enjoy free flow Ferrari champagne (additional S$48++ per person) – a fitting nod to the speed and luxury of the racing event – while soaking in the views of the waterfront.

Racegoers can unwind with a sophisticated afterhours experience at Koma Singapore from 20 to 21 September, as the modern Japanese restaurant specially extends its hours till 2am. Guests can look forward to special menus of cocktails and canapés, available from 11.30pm to 1.30am on both evenings. Presented on a mini version of Koma’s traditional Japanese foot bridge, one of the stunning interior highlights of the award-winning restaurant, the line-up comprises eight meticulously selected canapés that can be enjoyed with a caviar tin.

For the whole of September, fans of Scuderia Ferrari HP can look forward to a line-up of five innovative cocktails (S$28++ per glass) inspired by the history and legacy of the iconic team at contemporary Chinese restaurant Mott 32. Rev up the tastebuds with F40, a vibrant blend of tequila, crème de cassis and yuzu sake named after the iconic supercar. The spirited concoction is topped with a salt rim and adorned with a twisted dried orange peel, offering a perfect balance of sweet, sour and salty notes. Speed into flavour with the Scarlet Speedway that captures the essence of the team’s iconic colour and energy with rosemary-infused run, mixed with passion fruit puree and lime juice for a delightful, tropical zest, or indulge in Racing Green, a smooth and velvety beverage featuring tequila with undertones of fruity essence from Midori and pear sake. Fans who appreciate a sophisticated twist can savour Scuderia Drift, a bold and smokey number that combines the rich and complex flavours of whisky, Pedro Ximenez and Benedictine, or fuel up with a tribute to the passionate fans of Scuderia Ferrari HP named Tifosi, a luscious pink-hued gin-based cocktail complemented by the fruity flavours of pink guava puree and lemon which will end the night on a high note.

From 10pm to 2am, the artful and bold restaurant will be transformed into a dance floor for guests to party the night away with high-energy sets in collaboration with DJ Patrick Oliver, alongside a special bar collaboration with guest bartenders from Malaysia’s Three X Co, which was ranked #47 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2021.

Revel into the night at The Loft on Level 1 at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, as the award-winning classic American restaurant presents a three-day collaborative menu with Miami Beach’s cocktail royalty Sweet Liberty, neighbours of Yardbird’s first location on South Beach. Starring Westland whiskey and campari, the innovative cocktails are perfect for savouring at any time of the day. Delight in Roses & Rosé, an aromatic cocktail that is shaken with cocchi rosa and lychee, as well as Tropical Negroni, a refreshing cocktail that has a 48-hour infusion of fresh pineapples and mangoes before being shaken with passion fruit. Pair them with the king crab tortelli (S$78++), a sharing-style dish with heirloom baby beets, butter sauce, trout roe and sage.

On 22 September, fuel up pre-race during Sunday brunch at Marina Bay Sands’ signature buffet restaurant RISE over popular dishes from around the world (S$158++ per adult; S$79++ per child). In addition to an all-star variety of premium seafood on ice and Southeast Asian specialties, Rise will be serving up special dishes such as baked Japanese sea scallop with black truffles and pan seared foie gras de Canard on French brioche with caramelised apple, as well as live carvings such as Australian wagyu beef leg and New Zealand saltmarsh lamb with tandoori marinade. Sweeten up the feast with a jubilant array of race-themed pastries, such as “The Trophy” pineapple sugee, “championship racing” cakesicles, and “racing car” chocolate bon bons.

Impress loved ones during watch parties at home with Origin + Bloom’s artisanal race-themed pastries and bakes, available at the flagship café at the lobby of Hotel Tower 3 from 16 to 22 September. Look forward to four mini cakes (S$12 each) including adrenaline, which can be identified with a chocolate racing flag and boasts layers of thin and moist lemon pound cake with candied lemon and almond sable for a crunch, as well as warm up, a refreshing cake that is dressed in race-themed colours and comprises matcha infused Japanese pear compote and matcha bavaroise. Adults can also enjoy ready to race, a wheel-shaped cake composed of layers of moist chocolate sponge infused with smoked whisky and 66 per cent dark chocolate mousse.
