Ascott’s lyf Bugis Singapore has opened, marking the lyf brand’s fourth property and the first wellness-focused lyf in the city state.

Located in Singapore’s downtown core district within walking distance to Bugis, Rochor and Bencoolen MRT train stations, lyf Bugis Singapore features 308 units across six room types. The hotel is sat strategically in the heart of Bugis and provides easy access to the arts and heritage district of Bugis where local restaurants are located along Arab Street and Haji Lane. Supporting both social and active wellness, the property will offer a wide range of amenities including shared spaces that provide opportunities for social interaction, fitness facilities that enable guests to keep active while travelling and a chance to indulge in nourishing food and beverage (F&B) options.

Ms. Wong Kar Ling, Chief Strategy Officer, Ascott and Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Ascott, shared: “The grand opening of lyf Bugis Singapore represents a pivotal moment for The Ascott Limited as we forge ahead in expanding our lyf brand and also demonstrate our conversion capabilities to take over a property and rebrand as lyf. This property is a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering innovative and wellness-oriented accommodations that meet the dynamic needs of modern travellers. By masterfully intertwining the vibrant energy of Bugis with a serene urban oasis, we are dedicated to providing guests with an unparalleled experience-led social living that nurtures both their physical well-being and mental serenity.”

lyf Bugis Singapore’s Focus on Health and Wellness

lyf Bugis Singapore places a strong emphasis on the holistic well-being of its guests, thoughtfully engaging all five senses to create a unique and rejuvenating experience. For the sense of smell, guests can customise their room’s ambience by selecting from a range of linen sprays, enhancing comfort and emotional well-being. The property stimulates sight with calming artwork and soothing colour schemes, serving as visual reminders to slow down and relax. Taste is indulged through onsite F&B offerings such as Middle Child and Wild Honey, offering a spectrum of flavours from healthy food options to gourmet ice cream and wine pairings. The sense of touch is engaged at the café-inspired shared social spaces, where guests can cook in the shared kitchen, play board games, or participate in hands-on workshops led by the property’s Ambassador of Buzz. Finally, addressing the sense of hearing, the spaces within the property play music that invites guests into the energy of the space, providing a welcoming shelter and peaceful contrast to the bustle of Singapore just beyond its doors. Additionally, guests can choose from a variety of pillow types to ensure a comfortable night’s rest, further enhancing their overall wellness experience.
