Asai Bangkok Matcha event news: The Chinatown-based hotel will bring together some of Bangkok’s most exciting matcha cafés for GROOVE @ ASAI – EP.1: Matcha Fest, a lively neighbourhood gathering celebrating the city’s growing matcha culture, taking place on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
Created in collaboration with Made in Songwat – a community-driven collective of entrepreneurs, creatives, and heritage businesses in Bangkok’s historic Songwat district – the one-day event will showcase unique matcha creations from a curated lineup of local favourites.

Ceremonial Matcha Atelier
Participating cafés include Hidden Leaf Matcha, CÉRÉMONIALE Matcha Atelier, Matcha Maru, Koyo Tearoom, and Hugs Songwat, each presenting its own interpretation of the Japanese green tea tradition – from refined ceremonial preparations to contemporary matcha drinks with creative twists.
Adding to the experience, plant-based oat milk brand OATSIDE will debut a special collaboration menu created exclusively for the event.
More than just a tasting, the ASAI Bangkok Chinatown-hosted Matcha Fest is designed as a relaxed daytime gathering where guests can explore Bangkok’s vibrant café culture while enjoying live DJ sets, interactive activities, photobooth moments, and lucky draw prizes throughout the afternoon.
Inspired by Asai’s philosophy of local connections and collaboration, the event also marks the launch of Groove @ Asai, a new community-focused event series by Asai celebrating local artisans and neighbourhood connections.
