Irama Kuala Lumpur is set to open in 2026, marking one of the largest new hotel developments in the city with 766 rooms and suites. This opening will introduce a modern experience shaped by “Malaysian culture, design and a distinct brand philosophy rooted in rhythm and harmony.”
Irama, meaning rhythm or melody in Malay, defines the essence of the brand. It represents balance, flow and intention, guiding how guests experience the hotel from arrival to departure. This philosophy is expressed through the brand’s identity, symbolised by a songbird in mid-flight, encircled by motifs inspired by traditional Malay craftsmanship. Together, these elements reflect a seamless blend of heritage and modern refinement.
“Irama Kuala Lumpur is designed to feel intuitive and effortless, where every element moves in sync with our guests,” said GM Mr Praba Ratha. “Our approach to hospitality is not about excess, but about creating a sense of ease, where service, space and experience come together naturally.”

Irama Kuala Lumpur is also positioned as a leading convention hotel, supported by an extensive range of meeting and event facilities. The property will feature 12 meeting rooms, two ballrooms and a dedicated auditorium, offering flexibility for events of varying scale. The Irama Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 700 guests for banquet settings and 1,000 for theatre-style arrangements, while the Lotus Ballroom hosts up to 300 guests for banquets. A distinctive highlight is the 300-seat auditorium located on the 40th floor, providing an elevated setting for conferences, presentations and private events with panoramic views of the city.

Dining will play a central role in the guest experience, with seven venues across the property. These include an all-day dining coffee house, speciality Chinese and Indian restaurants, and a patisserie. Social spaces such as the Lobby Lounge, Cigar Bar and a poolside alfresco venue provide settings that transition easily from day to evening.
Leisure facilities include a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool for adults, alongside a children’s pool featuring interactive elements such as water buckets, sprinklers and slides, as well as a dedicated toddler’s pool. For younger guests, the hotel features a Kids Club with a play area featuring slides and activity zones. Additional facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre and a full-service spa, with babysitting services available upon request.
