The ‘Sunday Riviera Brunch’ at ALATi Mediterranean restaurant by Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is on offer. Reminisce back to the summer holidays at a cosy restaurant along the Riviera coast!

This ‘Sunday Riviera Brunch’ at this fabulous luxury hotel features a fantastic selection of unlimited à la carte dishes inspired by all-time-favourite Mediterranean cuisines. Executive Chef Carlo Valenziano has designed classic and contemporary dishes to evoke gastronomic memories, with bracing flavours from the Mediterranean Sea. Chef Carlo’s inspiration comes from his exciting trips along the French Riviera, from Nice to Cannes to St Tropez and Marseille, as well as the Italian and Spanish Rivieras, tasting popular dishes and meeting with many local chefs and culinary experts.

The brunch menu begins with a welcome seafood platter that includes La Friandise oysters, half-Atlantic lobster, crab remoulade, white prawns and New Zealand mussels, promising to please every discerning palate and appetite. The second course comprises a classic lobster bisque with freshly whipped cream, served individually at each table.

The Mediterranean cuisine embraces a wide selection of appetisers served in an unlimited à la carte style, including seared tuna, served with braised fennel, smoked capsicum sauce, sour cream and parsley oil; homemade smoked Norwegian salmon, served with cream cheese, capers, pickled onion, lemon and dill; ‘lobster & prawn roll’ – soft brioche bagel stuffed with prawns and lobster remoulade, butter lettuce, Avruga caviar; roast beef carpaccio, ‘tomato and burrata tart’; and many more.

The cold cuts and charcuterie selection includes Parma ham – 20-month Parma ham, fresh fig, mascarpone cream; foie gras crème brûlée served with thyme-scented apricot compote, caramelised hazelnuts; duck rillettes; cheese assortments; and homemade truffle chicken liver pâté.

The unlimited choice of à la carte main courses includes ‘beef rossini’ – pan-fried Wagyu medallion, garlic spinach, mushroom and truffle sauce, foie gras; Australian lamb chop, served with AOP salted butter mashed potatoes, gremolata; duck leg confit, served with pumpkin and mustard cream, pickled seed and thyme jus; pan-fried duck foie gras, served with apple-and-rosemary compote, Vincotto grapes; pan-seared Norwegian salmon, served with apple-and-dill tzatziki, lemon and caper butter; grilled snow fish, served with broccoli cream, Taggiasca olives, sundried tomato dressing; and tonnarelli with seafood – homemade spinach pasta, Mediterranean seafood ragout, cherry tomato, chilli.

Each Sunday Riviera Brunch also includes one chef’s-selection-of-the-week main course served tableside, to supplement the choices on the menu.

This fascinating journey around the French Riviera ends with an array of delicious all-about-chocolate-themed desserts served in an unlimited à la carte style. The dessert selections include chocolate cream, raspberry yuzu gel, served with chocolate tuile; warm almond chocolate apple pie, served with chocolate sorbet, caramel sauce; ‘chocolate tiramisu’ – mascarpone cream, chocolate-soaked Savoiardi, shaved chocolate, cocoa powder; lemon tart, served with chocolate torched meringue, raspberry sauce, candied orange; ‘tarte au fromage blanc’ – French-style baked cheesecake, soaked rum raisins, warm chocolate sauce; and more. We invite diners to spend an enjoyable afternoon in the comfortable atmosphere of ALATi,” explains Executive Chef Carlo Valenziano.
