Happy Hour Asia has enjoyed – in celebration of the Thai summer – the ‘Summer Floral Afternoon Tea with Char Flower Tea’. At InterContinental Pattaya’s afternoon tea one can indulge in a post-lunch treat or for an afternoon social gathering with friends, while it is also available as in-room dining.

And with its quite feminine touches this one will be a delight in particular for ladies on an afternoon escape!

The setting at Elments Restaurant is also splendid, where the view overlooks the sprawling resort and sea beyond, since it is positioned high up on the hillside. Outside the windows there is also a terrace with seating and water pond.

As for the choices of Char flower tea (a premium flower tea brand base in Thailand) all these are on the menu: White chrysanthemum, Chamomile, Imperial Chrysanthemum, Rose, Lotus Tea, Meiko Bloom, Prestige Rhyme, and Pomme d’Eve

Our choice of tea has the colour of rosé wine, served in a beautiful glass tea pot on a glass stand with a warming tea light inside it.

It is especially lovely how this afternoon tea set imitates floral decorations in the form of biscuits, macarons and tartes. As an admirable accomplishment offered to guests it is especially noticeable how these resemble rose flowers that also decorate the afternoon tea porcelain stand! They come mainly in colours of pink, yellow and purple blue. There are also edible flowers, enhancing the romantic touches of it all.

Other than this there are artistic canapés and beautiful scones. The ‘Savoury Selections’ offer:
Smoked salmon and cream cheese, Tartlet crisp fresh roll with spicy peanut sauce, Goat cheese and crispy tortilla. Sweet Delicacies include: Lavender sakura. Scone red berry, White chocolate cheese cake, Strawberry rose cake, Blueberry lotus mousse cake, Cactus macaron, and Rose tea macaron.
