The Espresso restaurant Sunday Brunch by InterContinental Bangkok is the place to be for seafood lovers. Stars of this tempting array are more than six kinds of crab, including prized varieties such as golden king crab, Chilean king crab, snow crab and blue swimmer crab.

Fragrant and flavourful, paneer crab curry and malai kofta with crab are just two of the highlights from the Indian corner, while from the Chinese corner diners have their pick of fried rice with Chilean king crab, egg noodles smothered in a creamy crab curry, and Cantonese-style crab and pork wonton soup. Meanwhile, specialties in the Japanese corner include soft-shell crab maki rolls and chirashi bowls with tuna, scallop and blue crab alongside a colourful array of sushi, sashimi and maki rolls.

Beyond crab, fresh from the kitchen to the table comes a host of special made-to-order dishes. These include delights such as Australian lamb loin with artichoke and mint balsamic sauce; Australian Wagyu sirloin beef steak with Parma ham crumble and celeriac purée; piquillo pepper risotto with grilled Australian Fremantle octopus; scrambled duck eggs with king crab meat; poached hen’s eggs with lobster ragout and Sturia caviar hollandaise sauce; half grilled Boston lobster with gochujang mayonnaise; and the classic seafood vol-au-vent with Hokkaido scallops, prawns, potato purée and bisque sauce.

All of this adds to a brunch already brimming with top quality fresh seafood and beloved mainstays such as roasted Australian prime beef rib, Iberico ham, and pan-fried foie gras served on brioche with berry sauce and arugula.
