Four Seasons Langkawi family vacation: activities for all ages

Balance “me time” and “we time” with activities that can be enjoyed separately and together. From thrilling adventure to blissful relaxation, there is something for each member of the family at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi.

Four pools in one adds up to a whole lot of fun. Paddle with little ones in the shallow sunbathing section, or splash out with older kids amid waterfalls, fountains and underwater jets. Cool off with complimentary poolside treats such as bon bons and popsicles!

Discover locally-inspired experiences with the Adventure Team, led by Senior Naturalist Aidi Abdullah, an official UNESCO Global Geopark Ambassador. Set sail on the Mangroves & Eagles Safari to explore mysterious forests between land and sea. This 550-million-year-old ecosystem is home to ancient geological formations and a variety of creatures – majestic eagles, naughty macaques and fish that “walk,” among others.

Back at the Resort, embark on leisurely strolls and bicycle rides, keeping an eye out for permanent residents like shy dusky leaf monkeys and monitor lizards. With more than 200 types of birds, the sprawling grounds are a paradise for birdwatchers that can spot native species such as flowerpeckers, common hill mynas and the famous Oriental pied hornbill.

The Geopark Discovery Centre introduces young explorers to the region’s diverse habitats and flora-fauna through interactive presentations and exhibitions. Kids can begin a lifelong journey of sustainability by learning little ways to make a big difference.

Head out into the Andaman Sea for thrilling jet ski rides and windsurfing lessons, or take it easy with breezy cruises and laidback fishing excursions. The Resort also houses a professional archery range and a natural limestone outcrop for rock-climbing and abseiling. The Geo Spa offers island-inspired treatments to harmonise mind, body and spirit, with tailored therapies for kids and teens.

Four Seasons Langkawi family vacation: Lutong Kids Club

Each day at Lutong Kids Club brings a choice of complimentary activities that combine play, education and creativity. Kids can learn the art of batik, make and fly colourful kites, practice easy yoga poses, and set off on eco-excursions with the resident “Swamp Skipper.”

While the little ones are busy having fun under the supervision of trained attendants, parents have a chance to enjoy the Resort’s more grown-up offerings, from sunset cocktails at Rhu Bar to rejuvenating wellness journeys at The Geo Spa.

Four Seasons Langkawi family vacation with flavour and flair

Food plays a big role in making summer unforgettable – a fact celebrated with plenty of flavour and flair at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. Come together for memorable feasts across three restaurants, with cuisines ranging from Mediterranean to Malaysian.

Start the day with a decadent buffet breakfast at Serai, served on the scenic oceanfront patio. The Resort team can also arrange private dining experiences such as a beach bonfire with s’mores, a gourmet sunset picnic, or a lively barbeque by the waves.

Over at Lesang Batu Cooking School, it is aprons on for an interactive journey through Malaysia, China and India. Gather with the family to make traditional dishes, guided by Four Seasons chefs; then savour everyone’s delicious creations with a shared sit-down lunch.
