Four Seasons Maldives festive season news: The Landaa Giraavaru island-based paradise resort is inviting to a ‘Landaa Wonderland’: a fantasy festive mash-up of Alice-in-Boogie-Wonderland. From divine dining to out-of-this-world artistry, electrifying music, live shows and performances, a ‘curiouser and curiouser’ festive programme invites guests to discover “a world where nothing is quite as it seems, but everything is better.”

Amid the beauty of Landaa’s UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, a mind- and heart-expanding experience filled with Wonder Shrooms, Good Vibrations, Kung Fu Fighting, and Night Fever awaits. An illuminating, earth-friendly, driftwood-tree lighting celebration rings the bell with a fiesta of festive favourites; Studio Travolta dance classes invite shape-throwing under the Maldivian sky; a sub-aquatic Christmas Eve fantasia channels an underwater Atlantis where mermaids exist and the jellyfish know your name; a beach party filled with magical giant mushrooms takes guests up, up and away; and a surreal cocktail party on Blu Beach twists through a mind-altering dreamscape into a world beyond imagination. The resort’s littlest visitors can also tumble into a magical wonderland of play, mayhem and fun, including a pool party and spectacular Santa arrival. Celebrations peak with a spellbinding New Year’s Eve celebration in a topsy-turvy Boogie Wonderland, where the only thing one can expect is the unexpected! Soaring seventies funk and a special surprise show invite guests to dance into a life less ordinary, for a trip-tastic start to 2025.

“This year’s celebrations at Landaa Giraavaru are set to be some of our most whimsical and wild yet,” says Regional Vice President and GM Armando Kraenzlin. “Our many repeat festive guests are used to us pushing the boat out when it comes to Christmas and New Year events and we’ve got a brilliant line up of talent, experiences and activities. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Dazzling dining experiences underpin the season. A Good Vibrations Seafood Night unites DJ grooves, good times and the freshest local catches. A magical mezze night at Al Barakat brings live shawarma stations and saxophone under the stars as guests soak up the Maldivian “blues”. And a crazy culinary road trip celebrates India at its offbeat best, brimming with authentic tandoor, dhansak, masala and skateboarding yogis on a Bollywood reggae tip. From December 28, 2024 to January 25, 2025, guests can also savour an exclusive omakase ‘trust the chef’ experience as visiting Japanese culinary maestro Chef Toshiyuki Kobayashi showcases his acclaimed out-of-this-world artistry to two sittings of just 12 people per night. During the festive season and beyond, the Michelin-distinguished flair of celebrated Chef Nino Di Costanzo also shines in a mesmerising new island-inspired collaboration at Blu Beach Club, blending the culinary traditions of the Mediterranean and the Maldives.

Throughout the festivities, guests can immerse in the natural treasures of Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. Set on one of the world’s most beautiful islands in a natural reserve wilderness, the Resort blends iridescent blues, jungle greens and dazzling whites with a commitment to innovation, conservation and wellness. From snorkelling with mantas to sea turtle rehabilitation and world-class wellness at AyurMa, each experience at Landaa invites a joyful connection to nature and a celebration of wellbeing for both people and the planet.
