Radisson Blu Resort Phuket opening: Radisson Hotel Group’s new resort in Mai Khao beach has just been launched. With this new hotel the brand introduces Radisson Blu’s upper upscale brand to one of the island’s most pristine beachfront locations. The 222-room resort features two dining concepts, a superyacht-inspired rooftop bar and pool, an expansive beachfront infinity pool, as well as a dedicated Kids Club and flexible meeting spaces. Designed with sustainability and community at its core, Radisson Blu Resort, Phuket Mai Khao Beach is ideal for leisure stays, family holidays and wellness-led escapes, with easy access to Mai Khao Beach, Sirinat National Park, Blue Canyon Country Club, Sarasin Bridge, Airport View Point, and Yacht Haven Marina.

“Mai Khao is one of the few places in Phuket where nature still feels untouched, and that’s exactly what today’s luxury traveller is searching for; meaning, stillness, and time well spent. We’ve designed every detail to honour the hotel’s setting, from rooms that face the ocean or gardens to our rooftop sunset bar that brings a refined social energy, without ever compromising the calm. As a destination for the whole family, including four‑legged members, our Rad Family and Rad Pets programs ensure every guest feels welcome, creating holidays that are as effortless as they are memorable,” says GM Björn-Henning Buth.

Radisson Blu Resort Phuket opening: maritime modernism meets tropical calm

The resort’s design blends clean maritime modernism with tropical textures, using coastal hues, natural materials and biophilic landscaping, creating a calm, contemporary environment. The superyacht inspired rooftop space, Luana On Sii, incorporates glass balustrades, streamlined forms, and teak-style decking, offering a standout vantage point for sunset views over the Andaman Sea.

Rooms designed around the ‘Andaman frame’

All 222 rooms and suites feature ocean or garden views and are framed around the ‘Andaman perspective,” with balconies and generous terraces that extend living spaces outdoors, ideal for coffee, yoga, family moments, or sunset lounging.

Mai Khao Beach, Phuket’s quieter side

Located on the peaceful shores of Mai Khao Beach, the resort offers access to the area’s most scenic highlights, including Sirinat National Park, Airport View Point, Blue Canyon Country Club, Sarasin Bridge and Yacht Haven Marina. Adjacent to the revered Mai Khao Temple, heart of the community and a cultural icon for the area, the property is deeply connected to the spirit of the destination. With Phuket International Airport only a 15 minutes’ drive away, the resort is positioned for weekend escapes, wellness retreats, and relaxed family holidays.

Radisson Blu Resort Phuket opening: A culinary journey from Mekong to Mediterranean

The resort’s dining collection spans regional Asian flavours to fresh coastal cuisine. Sensara, flavours of the Mekong, a specialty restaurant, draws inspiration from the diverse culinary cultures along Southeast Asia’s Mekong River, offering thoughtfully crafted dishes rooted in local ingredients and traditions. Boardwalk, an all-day dining venue, pairs coastal styling with an international menu that leans into lighter Mediterranean influences. Completing the experience, the sunset-facing rooftop bar, Luana On Sii, offers handcrafted cocktails and a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere anchored by panoramic ocean views.

Radisson wellness

Guests can train in a state-of-the-art fitness centre with panoramic ocean views, supported by guided sessions and personalized training. Activities extend outdoors with sunrise beach yoga, fitness circuits, and shoreline runs, while The Spa at Radisson Blu offers tailored treatments inspired by Thai and Asian healing traditions. An 80-metre beachfront infinity pool anchors the resort, complemented by a rooftop pool and a dedicated kids pool. The Kids Club offers supervised indoor and outdoor activities focused on creative discovery and nature-based play.

Events and meetings

For meetings, incentives and celebrations, the resort offers flexible indoor spaces and outdoor venues designed for seamless gatherings. Three meeting rooms can be configured for boardroom sessions, workshops, cocktail receptions, each equipped with natural daylight, modern AV technology, and high-speed connectivity under the Radisson Meetings concept. For destination-led events, beachfront and poolside areas serve as memorable backdrops for receptions, networking, and private celebrations.

Radisson Blu Resort Phuket opening: aiming at Green Key certification

Sustainability is integrated across operations including single-use plastics, energy-smart room systems, and responsible sourcing practices. The resort is on track for Green Key certification and has implemented Hotel Sustainability Basics. Community impact efforts include ongoing conversations with the Soi Dog Foundation to explore future collaboration, complemented by initiatives such as regular beach clean‑ups that help protect the local ecosystem.

Tim Cordon, Chief Operating Officer, Middle East, Africa & Southeast Asia Pacific, Radisson Hotel Group, adds: “The opening of Radisson Blu Resort, Phuket Mai Khao Beach strengthens our presence in Thailand with a resort that matches how travel is evolving, towards meaningful experiences, wellbeing, and responsible stays. Mai Khao’s natural beauty, combined with the resort’s design, culinary concepts, and rooftop sunset destination, creates an exceptional addition to our portfolio in a world-class leisure market.”
