Mediterranean dining Sheraton Bangkok: Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is inviting its hotel guests and local residents to embark on a gastronomic journey to the shores of the Mediterranean with a series of special Grande Seafood Buffet Dinners that will showcase the fresh flavours and authentic ingredients of this evocative region.

From now – 28th July 2024, the talented chefs at Orchid Café, the hotel’s vibrant all-day dining destination which overlooks Sukhumvit Road, will present an extensive selection of delectable dishes from the countries whose shores are lapped by the Mediterranean. With a choice of sublime Spanish, Italian, Greek, Middle Eastern and Moroccan delicacies, this is a culinary experience that will linger on the taste buds and live long in the memory.

Couples, families and friends can look forward to bright and appetizing salads such as melon & prosciutto, Caprese salad, octopus salad with olives, potatoes & pine nuts, Moroccan couscous, and the Italian classic vitello tonnato, plus home-baked pita bread with tzatziki dip. Meat lovers will also be treated to traditional recipes including lamb kofta with cucumber tzatziki, Spanish meatball & white bean stew, Moroccan beef kebabs, veal tonnato and ossobuco.

Naturally, the Mediterranean region is famed for its fruits de mer and guests can savor a series of sensational seafood dishes such as gambas al ajillo, seafood paella, Mediterranean seafood stew, roasted sea bass with Sicilian cherry tomato sauce, stuffed baby squid, Mediterranean baked cod with artichokes, vine tomatoes & herbs, and harissa salmon with spring vegetables.

These special creations will be available alongside the Grande Seafood Buffet’s popular selection of dishes from around the world, including succulent seafood on ice with a choice of condiments, freshly-shucked oysters, a Japanese station featuring sushi, sashimi and handmade tempura, a choice of Thai salads, soup of the day, smoked salmon, cold cuts, Thai and international dishes, authentic Italian pasta, and grilled meats such as Australian prime rib of beef, premium lamb chops and pork ribs, plus barbecued river prawns and baked whole grouper.

And of course, every meal can end on a sweet note with a choice of divine desserts, including mango sticky rice, crème brûlée, cakes, tropical fruits and more.

Staged at Orchid Café every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (18:00 – 22:30 hrs.), the Grande Seafood Buffet Dinner is a popular weekend feast for couples, families and friends alike.
