Executive Club Pullman Bangkok King Power experience

by Joakim Persson

The Executive Club Floor Lounge experienced by Happy Hour Asia at Pullman Bangkok King Power hotel is newly designed. Located high up on one of the club floors the executive lounge offers en elevated view of the surroundings, and facing the sunset.

An Executive stay at Pullman is always a nice way to elevate the stay – be it for business or leisure. As this review takes place on a weekend there are plenty of couples taking the opportunity to enjoy the personalised and elevated service you expect – and do get here!

Normally breakfast is also offered to Executive Club guests in the dedicated lounge, but it is not yet up and running post-Covid upon this visit but most certainly will be going forward!

The highlight is of course the ‘Evening Cocktail and hors d’oeuvres’, here starting at the ideal ‘happy hour’ time 5.00 pm. and lasting until 7.00 pm. So after a day out in the city and perhaps an afternoon gym pass or a later afternoon by the pool, this is the highlight of the day, and often a precursor to dinner or other activities later in the evening.

This Pullman club lounge is furnished with semi-private seating with panorama windows, a rattan silver partition wall and also brown wooden walls, blonde wooden tables, grey-blue sofas and armchairs in a blue tone. There are carpets, low and high tables, sofas etc. for a variety of seating environments.

For business people the evening cocktails is a nice time to combine food and drinks with getting additional computer work and phone calls done. For others it is entirely about the pleasure.

There is a bar counter taking centre stage filled with wine and spirits and all the ingredients for the hosts to mix cocktails and serve drinks. Then, there is another long counter with canapés, hot food as well as sushi and a good selection of desserts.

Pullman Bangkok King Power serves a generous line-up of wine, juices, soft drinks, mocktails as well as cocktails. For sparkling wine Italian Atto Primo Piedmont Brut is the best choice. For white the Genesis, Chardonnay from Chile is a nice. For red Wolf Bass, Bilyara, Shiraz (Australia) or Concha Y Toro Reservado Cabernet Sauvignon, from Chile are the choices.

Signature cocktails on offer include: Apple mojito, Purple Pullman and Sexy 20th
Other cocktails include: Blue Hawaii, Black Russian, Long Island, Margarita, Gin Tonic, Tequila Sunrise etc. Mocktails: Ocean Blue, Virgin Colada, or Fruit Punch!

On the food front it varies from day to day, including: Chicken stew, Stir-fried mixed mushroom, Fish finger etc. Freshly cut fruit includes a tropical favourite: passion fruit! And how about some hot latte or tea with lovely tarts? Enjoy! With alert hosts the service is also prompt and brisk too, so the wine glass never has to stay empty for long.
