Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi unveils legendary mooncake collection for its 125th Anniversary
Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has unveiled an exquisite new mooncake collection ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, as the Grande Dame of Hanoi celebrates its 125th anniversary this year.
Under the theme “Metropole – A Tale of the Living Legend,” the collection transforms the traditional Mid-Autumn gift into a celebration of heritage, artistry and timeless elegance. Since opening its doors in 1901, the Metropole has embodied French art de vivre and upheld its enduring status as the Grande Dame in the heart of Hanoi. This year’s mooncakes invite guests to turn the pages of a special history book that pays tribute to the Metropole’s 125-year legacy across the eras through refined flavours and exquisite presentation.
Handcrafted without preservatives by the Metropole’s culinary team, the mooncakes are available in both baked and snowskin varieties. Flavours include Traditional Mix; Mung Beans, Apricots and Salted Egg; Lotus Seeds and Macadamia Nuts; Black Sesame and Sunflower Seeds (baked only); Orange Zest and Grand Marnier; and Ube and Cordyceps.
Metropole lacquer box
To mark the milestone anniversary, Metropole Hanoi has partnered with Bát Tràng Museum Atelier, a ceramic workshop founded nearly 50 years ago by the late People’s Artisan Vũ Đức Thắng, to introduce an exclusive gift collection that honours Vietnamese heritage and craftsmanship. These unique ceramic Heritage Plates are handcrafted using the atelier’s signature layered glazing technique. Available in six colours and chosen at random, each gift offers a one-of-a-kind keepsake that unites the two legacies: Metropole Hanoi and Bát Tràng ceramics.
The ‘Metropole Mooncake Collection’ comes in a six-piece box (100g/piece) or a four-piece box (150g/piece) with a Metropole Heritage Plate, both priced at VND 3,500,000.
